I’ve been a registered veterinary technician for 13 years, primarily working in Emergency and Critical care, currently at PESC in Chula Vista. While working at the University of Georgia Vet Teaching Hospital, I became a Certified Equine Rehab Practitioner through the University of Tennessee; the only university backed program in the world. I then went to work for a top vet in Wellington, Florida; where I was extensively trained on FES by the owner of the Equinew company, Dr. Shiela Shields.
I purchased my own unit in 2019 and have grown a business by word of mouth alone, primarily in the Tryon area.
Moving home to San Diego, I’m ready and willing to put in the work to make a success of being known as the “the therapy tech” who truly can make a big difference for your horse.
I have trained and worked with horses since I was 5, finally getting my first horse just after college. I am one score away from getting my Bronze metal with my beautiful mare Mayday, and can’t wait to get back in the ring!

I have been using Claire for the last 3 years for my TB Dressage gelding who was displaying some back issues, around his SI area. He was unable, or did not want to raise his back muscle while doing any stretch exercises; either in hand or riding. He was not a happy horse to work around, or ride. After talking to Claire about her bodywork and FES treatment, I decided it was worth a try. After each bodywork session followed by a FES treatment, I could immediately see the change in his back. It appeared UP and rounder. The rides after treatment felt so much better, softer and more loft and stretch. Most of all he seemed happy to be ridden. We saw Claire every 5 weeks, and after several sessions I noticed his back was finally staying elevated instead of inverted between sessions. He was much stronger in all gaits, and just so much more muscle. I am so thrilled with the results of Claire’s treatments, and highly recommend using her. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she really cares about the horses and wants them happy. Happy horse, makes a happy owner. I am all smiles!

I had Claire Hollowell do FES on my horse for a year. He suffered from periodic soreness in his back. There results were nothing short of amazing. Claire is a wonderful Therapist. He work in veterinary clinics make her a perfect candidate for the job. She is professional at all levels of interaction. She is thoughtful and detailed in her care plan. She explains what she is doing in understandable layman’s terms. The FES treatments enabled me to rebuild his topline, activate his muscles and improve his freedom of movement. The physical difference was impressive. He was able to engage his hind quarters, build his bad and abs and neck muscles. Due to Claire’s careful and kind treatment he looked forward to the sessions. I Highly recommend Claire for FES. If your results are as good as mine, you will be thrilled. I easily give her a 10 out of 10!
